We used Aha! to keep all product teams on the same page

We had a problem

In the past, we struggled to practice productive product development. The product team spent most of our days responding to issues that needed to be addressed by our engineering team. As a result, our product planning took a backseat, and it became harder to meet deadlines. It was also tough for us to build and communicate an executive roadmap for strategic planning. There was a real lack of executive visibility into development activity. Stakeholders had to speak directly with product management or engineering teams if they wanted product updates. This resulted in even more product planning delays. Overall, we lacked a cohesive process to manage new obligations regarding current deliverables.

Aha! as a solution

Using Aha! allows us to keep all our product planning in one place. We use feature linking to track regression testing and what we call “Daily Fire Drills.” Using this method, our developers now have a better picture of how features or system components are related to specific issues. As a result, they now have a better view into how issues may impact other components.

Using Aha! has given our product and development teams a common platform. It enables us to maintain better team communications, as well as communicate with our executive team and users.

We also love the Aha! Ideas Portal. It helps us understand what kinds of features our subscribers need to be successful.

Life is good

Our product planning is so much more productive now. With Aha! we can manage feature backlogs and have an easier road towards product releases. Now, our cross-functional product teams communicate more clearly than ever.

Aha! empowers us to build tools that help our clients be rock stars at work while improving our own product at the same time. It is a win-win for everyone.

We use comments within features not just for communicating, but for tracking each history related to feature development and maintenance. This helps keep all of us on the same page, no matter which team we work on.
