New Right-Click Menus in Aha! Software

Keyboard shortcuts. Bulk editing. Predictive search. We are always on the lookout for ways to save you time in Aha! software. Today we are introducing a simple time-saver that you are sure to love — right-click menus.

Now you can right-click on epics, features, and requirements to see a range of useful actions — such as assigning work, updating status, and moving items.

Of course, the actions themselves are not new. You could always open each record to make updates or individually drag and drop items into place. But all of those clicks add up — especially when you are planning a big release, refining the backlog, or reviewing statuses. With today's update, you can get that work done faster.

Look for the new functionality in a few places — such as the features board in Aha! Roadmaps or the backlog management, sprint planning, and workflow pages in Aha! Develop. The list of available actions varies based on which view you are in. For example, if you right-click on a feature in Aha! Roadmaps, you will see an option to move it to a release. In Aha! Develop, you will see options to move the feature to or from the prioritized backlog or assign to a sprint.

You can also select multiple work items and apply the same actions in one go. Or use the new bulk edit option to quickly update any standard or custom field on the record layout. This enables you to move work through your product development process even more efficiently — so you can spend more time building lovable software.

Assign features to engineering

Imagine you are planning an upcoming release in Aha! Roadmaps. You have been working closely with design to fine tune the user experience and the last few features are ready for engineering. Now you can multi-select those features and update the status to "Ready for development." Then you can assign them to the right team in Aha! Develop — all without interrupting your workflow.

Adjust sprint plans quickly

Engineers in Aha! Develop can bring similar efficiencies to sprint management. In the example below, one of the engineers is now unavailable for the current sprint. We need to adjust to keep the sprint on track. With a few swift actions, we can move a handful of lower priority features to the backlog to account for the team's reduced capacity.
